Tree Sparrow

Passer montanus

Tree Sparrow Characteristics:
About 15 cm long. Upperparts of the plumage are brownish. Cheek and throat with black spots which are indistinct or missing in juveniles.


Distribution:
Resident. Common and widespread.

Habits:
Usually nests under eaves, in holes in walls or trees. Feeds on seeds and insects.
