District Sports Activities with Local Characteristics in 18 DistrictsLeisure and Cultural Services Department
FootballWong Tai Sin District is equipped with a number of soccer pitches managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, including natural turf, artificial turf and hard-surface pitches. Among them, the artificial turf soccer pitch in Ma Chai Hang Recreation Ground, completed in the fourth quarter of 2025, has quickly become a local favourite. Leveraging the district’s football pitches as regular training bases, the Wong Tai Sin District Recreation and Sports Council has formed several district teams. Its Second Division Football team has competed in the leagues of the Football Association of Hong Kong, China, and the Youth Elite team has taken part in the Jockey Club Youth Football League and other local competitions.To further promote soccer culture in Wong Tai Sin District, the Wong Tai Sin District Leisure Services Office regularly organises soccer training courses, fun days, and competitions at various venues across the district. These activities encourage public participation in the sport, strengthen community belonging and foster a vibrant and sustainable soccer environment in the district. | ![]() |
