Brief Introduction

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) manages over 600 venues with outdoor children’s playgrounds. To make the public play spaces (PPS) more innovative and fun as well as to meet the aspirations of local residents at the same time, the Government announced in the Chief Executive’s 2019 Policy Address the launching of a five-year plan to transform more than 170 PPS under the LCSD.

Since 2020, a total of 87 transformation projects have been rolled out in phases across districts. Among them, 4 projects have been completed and opened for public use. A list of venues where transformation projects will be carried out is at Annex.
