A programme of "Hong Kong Week 2022@Wuhan, Hubei"

Although Hong Kong is a tiny place, it has a wide variety of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) items, which are closely linked with longstanding Chinese cultural traditions and are fused with local characteristics as they are passed from generation to generation.

Curators from the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office will lead Wuhan audiences on a thousand-mile journey to the Hong Kong ICH Centre to experience the cultural glamour of Hong Kong. The video introduces a selection of ICH items related to traditional village culture, performing arts, and craftmanship of Hong Kong, including the traditional architecture preservation technique, the lantern-lighting ceremony, sek pun, hand puppet Cantonese Opera, flower board crafting and guangcai making, to give viewers a taste of the historical and cultural charms of this international metropolis.
