Slated for the Chinese New Year, this romantic comedy by the Shaw Brothers features Betty Loh Ti and Peter Chen Ho, the star couple under the studio. The musical was boasted to rival Hollywood at the time with its opulent set design, lavish costumes and grand dance numbers that paraded Shaw Brothers' strength. Because of a mistaken identity, rich businesswoman Mei Chien-ju (Loh) gets entangled in scandalous rumour when the jobless Chen Chun-mai (Chen), star of a dance company, auditions as her chauffeur. To find out the truth, Chien-ju goes undercover as a reporter to interview the dance company. Instead of confronting Chun-mai, she is overwhelmed by his charms. After putting him through a test of love, the couple seals their love with a dance. The film features the entire dance troupe under Shaw Brothers and a Japanese dance master was recruited for choreography. The film score by Joseph Koo, who has returned from study in the United States, also won the Best Song award at the 11th Asia-Pacific Film Festival.
