Set during the Japanese occupation of China, this road drama follows a group of people attempting to flee a fallen city in a truck driven by Li Shing (Ng Cho-fan). In the face of calamity, some choose to bury their conscience while others become indignant. Some become overwhelmed while others sacrifice themselves for the greater good. Showing his fondness for To Ping's talent, director Ng Wui placed To as the first character to appear on screen and gave him the first line of the film. Sitting alongside big name stars such as Ng Cho-fan, Cheung Wood-yau, Pak Yin, Tsi Lo Lin, Lee Ching and Mui Yee, To holds his own as a righteous young man trying to do the right thing in a time of turmoil. His clever rebuttal against the story's villainous traitor (Lam Kwun-shan) brings much-needed humor to the heavy story.
