Cinema City was founded in the early 1980s by Karl Maka, Dean Shek and Raymond Wong, who were later joined by Eric Tsang, Tsui Hark, Nansun Shi and Teddy Robin. The company was widely known as a new force of the Hong Kong film industry and their blockbusters like Aces Go Places, A Better Tomorrow, Prison On Fire and The Happy Ghost etc. gave rise to a golden era of the Hong Kong entertainment business. The exhibition will feature interviews with key persons of Cinema City as well as precious artifacts and photos, giving the audience a chance to revisit this leading company in the history of Hong Kong cinema.
