Sketches in Motion: Storyboards of Hong Kong Cinema

From concept development to visualization, a storyboard is essential in the process of filmmaking. It is the script for cinematography: visual layout of each scene to be seen through the camera lens. Throughout the years, the Hong Kong Film Archive has acquired storyboards of many well-known Hong Kong movies. To allow the audience to have a closer look at these thoughtfully drawn "film on paper", an exhibition will be held to showcase valuable relics, complemented by corresponding film footage and interviews.
