The project strives to encourage public participation and promote local artworks. An open call for proposals for innovative and artistic outdoor public artworks to be installed in the newly completed open space of Tamar was conducted in mid-2010. With an overwhelming response from the art community, the project has successfully attracted a total of 326 proposals. The adjudication panel, chaired by the former Chief Secretary for Administration and with renowned art professionals and architects as members, has recommended five artworks. The selected artworks have been installed at the site of Tamar Park from 2012 to 2013.
