With the completion of the new extension of the art space, new progress is anticipated at Oi!. Although we bid farewell to the former shoreline, also to the bygone characters of yacht club, warehouse and staff quarters, historical traces constantly remain to be an indispensable part of this place. When saying goodbye becomes the norm, perhaps it is worth contemplating what stands the test of time. Artist Lau Chi Chung uses a first-person point of view to disseminate his community experience, recollection and imagination through images and words. We said goodbye to the past, yet its impact is still lingering today.
