Crested Myna

Acridotheres cristatellus

Crested Myna Characteristics:
About 26 cm long. Plumage is all black with black crest on forecrown. Bill and legs are yellow. White tip to tail, with small white wing patch (not always visible). Shows distinctive white wing patches in flight.


Distribution:
Resident. Often seen in open paddy fields in the countryside and major urban parks.

Habits:
Often appears in flocks. Mainly feeds on fruits and insects.
