To allow members of the public to experience more of the vibrancy and joyful atmosphere of parks, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) organised a series of “Storm the Park” activities including Fun Days such as “Orienteering@Parks” and “Fitness@Parks”, as well as Storm the Park Days featuring Frisbee, painting, water play, model car and camping in different districts in 2016 and 2017. Bringing vibrancy to the tranquil parks, a variety of creative activities were organised for family members to enable them to participate in recreation and sports programmes featuring a range of themes and to discover the delightful atmosphere of parks while using various facilities there. The series of “Storm the Park” activities were well received by the public, attracting more than 13 000 participants and offering a great time for both adults and kids.
Good news to orienteering enthusiasts! “Orienteering@Parks” will be organised once again between 2018 and 2019. Details can be found here, and members of the public are welcome to join these free activities. Let’s go and storm the park!
