Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition 2008

Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition 2008 The Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition 2008 was successfully held at the Wai Tsuen Sports Centre on 19 July 2008.The Competition attracted a total of 115 participants from 41 schools who had undergone rhythmic gymnastics training under the School Sports Programme or the Joint Schools Rhythmic Gymnastics Training Programme, or had been trained by instructors or teachers who had taken part in the Rhythmic Gymnastics Training Workshops. All the participants had undergone at least one year of practice before the Competition.

Around 200 teachers and parents attended the event to cheer the participants, bringing the atmosphere in the Sports Centre to a thrill. The Competition was divided into four divisions with six events, namely ball, ribbon, hoop, clubs, rope and freehands.

Guided Tour of FIVB Grand Prix- Hong Kong

Guided Tour of FIVB Grand Prix- Hong KongThe FIVB World Grand Prix - Hong Kong was held at the Hong Kong Coliseum from 27 to 29 June 2008. To further promote the volleyball sport to schools, the Volleyball Association of Hong Kong arranged the National Women Volleyball Team to demonstrate their superb skills and meet student spectators in a practice session and a Volleyball Clinic also held at the Hong Kong Coliseum on 26 June 2008. Over 6 000 students joined the activity to watch the world-famous team practice. 80 students who had participated in the Joint School Volleyball Training Programme had the pleasure to join the National Team in the clinic session to polish their skills. Students were thrilled to have the chance to meet the National Team and affirmed that it was definitely a memorable experience.
