Memorial Arch

The Memorial Arch was erected in 1928 in remembrance of those Chinese who fell in World War I.  Damaged in World War II, it was repaired by the Hong Kong Government and engraved with inscriptions to commemorate the Chinese who sacrificed their lives for the Allies in the two World Wars.  The arch is guarded by two pairs of uniquely designed male stone lions, one at the front and one at the back.
