2. Classes will be suspended and postponed when an instructor is absent due to illness or an emergency, and no substitute can be arranged by the Music Office.

 

3. Classes will be postponed or changed to another venue when classrooms cannot be made available by the teaching venue concerned. If a venue is suddenly closed due to an emergency, the Music Office will inform the trainees through SMS as soon as possible. The Music Office will not arrange another make-up class or refund for individual trainee who is unable to attend the scheduled make-up class.

 

4. If the following circumstances occur or have occurred at any time within 3 hours before the class starts, all on-site and online classes will be canceled without further notice‡:

i. Red/ Black Rainstorm Warning; or

ii. “Pre-No. 8 Special Announcement” (i.e. the announcement on the Hong Kong Observatory’s webpage “Status of Pre-No. 8 Special Announcement”); or

iii. Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above; or

iv. Extreme Situation

However, if the above circumstances cease 3 hours before class commencement, classes will proceed as scheduled (e.g. if the typhoon signal is lowered at 2pm, classes starting before 5pm will be cancelled while classes starting from 5pm onwards will be held as usual).

‡ No make-up class or refund will be arranged for classes cancelled due to inclement weather. Instructors will adjust the teaching plan accordingly.
