Brass Masterclass by Hermann Paw


Hermann Paw – Principal Horn of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta


Celebrated local hornist Hermann Paw will share the art of mastering the brass instruments on 12 October 2019.


Alumnus of the Music Office’s Instrumental Music Training Scheme, the Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Hong Kong Symphonic Band, Paw obtained his Bachelor of Music degree with First Class Honours from the HKAPA in 2011 under the tutelage of Joe Kirtley, and his Master’s degree in Music from the Carnegie Mellon University under the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund scholarship studying with William Caballero. He participated in the Asian Youth Orchestra, Pacific Music Festival (Japan) and National Orchestral Institute (USA), and toured China, Japan, Korea, Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina, etc. Paw joined the Hong Kong Sinfonietta as Principal Horn in 2013.


Interested music educators, brass instructors and music lovers are all welcomed to join.
