2018 Summer Music Workshop

Aged 7 to 9 Music Lessons Schedule  (Adult accompany for lessons is not required)

Lessons will be organized between 16th July to 3rd August; Through interactive lessons, children will learn music notations, basic theory and explore to Western and Chinese musical instruments. The lessons are designed to enrich the participants' music knowledge, enhance their ability of music appreciation and to cultivate their interests in music learning.

Aged 4 to 6 Music Lessons Schedule (Each student must be accompanied by an adult)

Lessons will be organized between 30th July to 24th August; Through fun music games and activities, participants are encouraged to feel the music, develop their musical ear, build better concentration and to enhance their basic music knowledge. Participants will also learn basic theoretical knowledge such as simple notation reading, tempo and explore Western and Chinese musical instruments.

Lessons: 5 lessons; 1.5 hrs each
Participants: Suitable for students with or without music training
Age based on 16th July 2018
Fee: $280 (5 lessons)
Language: Cantonese
Reward: Students attended ALL 5 lessons will be issued a Certificate of Attendance and will be invited to attend the “Introduction to Musical Instruments” session.

Application for Remaining Quota: from 12 July to one working day before class commencement (first-come-first-served)

For workshops not fully taken up in Phrase 1, the remailing quotas will be available on this webpage, from 11 July, 10am. The remailing quotas will be released for open application on a first-come-first-served basis from 12 July. Applicants should submit the completed Application Form, together with tuition fee (a crossed cheque made payable to the "Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region"; postdated cheques will not be accepted) in-person or by a representative to the Shatin Music Centre (Rm721, 7/F Sha Tin Government Offices, 1 Sheung Wo Che Road, Shatin, N.T.).
