"Music New Horizon" Workshops

World Music|Broadway Musical|A Cappella

To enrich the music knowledge of school students, Music Office invites local artists to present the workshops on the following music topics.

Each workshop lasts about an hour and will be conducted in Cantonese.

World Music (suitable for primary four to six students)

To broaden students' music horizon and know more about the music and culture of different countries, this workshop will guide students to appreciate music from other region of the globe.

Broadway Musical (suitable for primary four to six students)

Musical theatre is an art form that integrates music, drama and dance. This workshop will guide students to appreciate musicals and learn how to distinguish musicals from other art forms such as opera and drama.

A Cappella (suitable for primary four to six students; all secondary students)

Through live demonstration, a cappella group/ artist will introduce a cappella music and its development, coaching students to sing parts harmony and practice vocal percussion (Beatboxing).

Enrollment: Interested schools please download and complete the Enrollment Form of "Music New Horizon" Workshops (Chinese only), email or fax to Music Office on or before 12 October 2018. Oversubscribed applications will be processed by ballot. Selected schools will be contacted to confirm the workshop date and arrangement.
