School Care Subsidy Scheme

The "School Care Subsidy Scheme", with the support of Sino Group, aims at encouraging school music groups to serve the community through music performance. Participants may combine music with other art forms in the performance so as to enrich the programme in a creative way, and benefit themselves in the building of team spirit and organizing skills from the production process.

Since its launch in 2009, over 300 "Care and Concern Concerts" have been held and reached out to well over 27,000 people at elderly house, sheltered homes, hospitals and work places, etc. This year, nearly 40 kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools and special schools have successfully been selected to join the Scheme. For details, please refer to the "List of Participating Schools".

To share the activity highlights and wonderful moments with the public, every performing group will create a post on the Scheme's Facebook page after its performance in the "Care and Concern Concert". Concert photos, video clips and participants' feedback will be uploaded there. You are welcome to vote for your favourite group by giving a "Like" on its post. The group which receives the largest number of "Like" on or before 5 July 2018 will win the "Most Liked Music Group Award".

The Gala Concert, to be held at Hong Kong Cultural Centre Foyer on 14th July 2018 (Sat) at 3pm, will provide a platform for selected participating groups of the Scheme to showcase their performances again and share the experience they gained from the service. Besides, Certificates of Commendation will be awarded to all participating schools of the 2018 Scheme before the start of concert. The Gala Concert is free admission (tickets or pre-registration not required). All are welcome !
