2019 Hong Kong Youth Music Camp

Welcome to join an educational and pleasurable “Day Trip to Music La La Land” of Hong Kong Youth Music Camp and get away from the hustle and bustle with friends and families in a beautiful scenery at Tso Kung Tam Outdoor Recreation Centre.

The Hong Kong Youth Music Camp is a well-received annual summer youth music training programme, day campers are welcome to participate in the music activities, such as music rehearsals visit, mini concerts, musical games and various recreational activities…Applications are now open!

Date: 23 – 27 July (Tuesday to Saturday)
Time: 10:00 am to 3:30 pm

Day Camp Fees (including lunch)

Full Rate: $92 per person
Concessionary Rate: $68 per person (for children, local school/ full-time students, senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities and the minder and participants from subvented organisations registered with the Social Welfare Department).

Completed application forms should be submitted to the Music Office through the following channels on or before 24 May:

Online application
Upon submission of applications, applicants will receive application numbers for checking the balloting results afterwards.

Fax application
Completed application form can be faxed to 2795 8663. A valid fax number should be provided on the form. All forthcoming correspondence will be sent to the applicant by fax.

Post application
Completed application form and two self-addressed envelopes with sufficient postage should be sent to the following address by post ▲ or by hand (please do not enclose camp fee):

Applicant who does not receive the acknowledgement of application, along with an application number, by 29 May should call the Music Office at 2796 7523 before 12nn on that day to confirm the application.

In case the number of applications exceeds the quota, allocation of places will be determined by ballot. Applicants are welcome to attend the ballot to be conducted at the Kwun Tong Music Centre on 31 May at 3pm. List of successful applicants will be available at the Music Office’s website, from 4 June onwards.
(Families of residential campers can choose to join the Day Camp after announcement of the recruitment results in late May)

Successful applicants should submit the following item(s) to the Music Office Kwun Tong Music Centre (4/F, Lam Tin Complex, 1 Hing Tin Street, Lam Tin, Kowloon) by post ▲ or by hand # on or before 11 June, otherwise, they will be deemed to have given up their applications. Successful applicants are not required to wait for any notifications from the Music Office before payment:

1. A crossed cheque for payment of camp fee should be made payable to the “Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region”★ . Please state the name of applicant, the application number and the number of campers at full rate and concessionary rate at the back of the cheque. Postdated cheques will not be accepted. Except the condition as set in “Inclement Weather”, camp fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.
2. A self-addressed envelope with sufficient postage ▲ (for applicants who send the cheques by mail only).


▲ Please ensure sufficient postage before posting. Underpaid mail items will not be accepted and such items will be handled by the Hong Kong Post.

If successful applicants do not receive any camp fee receipt from the Music Office on or before 14 June after payment, please check with the Music Office at 2796 7523 before 12nn on that day. All day campers should present their receipts on entering the campsite, otherwise, they might not be allowed to enter the campsite.

Remaining quotas

Applicants should submit the completed application form, together with the camp fee in a crossed cheque, in person or by a representative to the Music Office Kwun Tong Music Centre during the above-mentioned period.

Music Office reserves the right to film and record the activities of campers in the Day Camp events for archival, reference and promotional purposes.
Transportation and parking space will not be provided. Campers are required to make their own transport arrangement to the campsite as follows:

Bus No. 51 KMB route at Tai Ho Road North Flyover above the Tsuen Wan MTR Station or
Mini-bus No. 80 at Chuen Lung Street

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal/ Rainstorm Warning Signal:
Anytime from 7am to 9:59am Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 or above, or the Red/ Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued All day camp activities will be cancelled. Camp fee will be refunded.
Anytime from 10am to 3:30pm Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3, or the Red/ Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued Music Office will consider the actual weather and traffic condition in deciding whether or not to terminate day camp activities. In case of termination, the camp fee will not be refunded.
Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal Pre-No. 8/ No. 8 or above is issued All day camp activities will be cancelled. Camp fee will not be refunded.
