  Facilities and Projects

The LCSD made significant progress in 2004 in providing new facilities and implementing new projects.


Facilities under Construction

At year's end, construction of 13 capital works projects was in progress, including five major facilities — the Kowloon Bay Recreation Ground, the Tai Kok Tsui Complex (Phase 2), the Stanley Complex, the Hammer Hill Road Park in Diamond Hill and the Indoor Recreation Centre in Tin Shui Wai. A list of these projects is included in Appendix 5.


New Facilities Completed

Nine facilities were completed, including three major projects — the Ma On Shan Sports Ground (Phase 2), the Tai Po Complex, and the Sports Centre and Public Library in Ma On Shan. A list of the completed projects is in Appendix 6.

Minor Works

Some 13 minor works projects, each costing $15 million or less, were completed during the year, while seven more were under construction.
