Ap Lei Chau Sports Centre

Introduction

Ap Lei Chau Sports Centre, which was commissioned on 30 December 1998, is located on the 1st to 4th floor of the Ap Lei Chau Municipal Services Building, No. 8 Hung Shing Street in Ap Lei Chau, adjacent to Ap Lei Chau Waterfront Promenade. The Sports Centre provides a wide range of leisure facilities for booking by members of the public and organisations. Moreover, the Sports Centre also organises various kinds of sports and recreation programmes each month for the public's participation.

Facilities

  • A multi-purpose arena is provided. It can be converted into 2 basketball courts/2 volleyball courts/2 netball courts or 8 badminton courts.
  • 6 indoor bowling green rinks are provided.
  • An American pool room covering an area of 62 M2 is provided.
  • 2 squash courts covering an area of 62 M2 each are provided. They can be converted into table tennis rooms or multi-purpose activity rooms.(Ancillary facilities: Sound equipment and gymnastic mats.)
  • A fitness room covering an area of 115 M2 is provided.
  • 2 dance rooms covering an area of 140 M2 each are provided.(Ancillary facilities: Wall mirrors, dance bars, sound equipment and gymnastic mats.)
  • 2 multi-purpose activity rooms covering areas of 115 M2 and 95 M2 respectively are provided.(Ancillary facilities: sound equipment and gymnastic mats.)
  • A children's play room covering an area of 140 M2 is provided.
  • A fast food kiosk is provided.
  • A pro shop is provided.

    Toilet, changing room and locker

    1/F:
  • 1 men's toilet cum changing room with 6 shower cubicles
  • 1 ladies' toilet cum changing room with 6 shower cubicles and 16 lockers
  • 32 lockers are provided in the corridor outside the activity room

    2/F:
  • 1 men's toilet and 1 ladies' toilet
  • 18 lockers are provided in the lobby

    3/F:
  • 1 men's toilet cum changing room with 10 shower cubicles and 30 lockers
  • 1 ladies' toilet cum changing room with 10 shower cubicles and 26 lockers

    4/F:
  • 1 men's toilet and 1 ladies' toilet
  • Barrier Free Facilities: Accessible Toilet (2/F & 4/F), Accessible Toilet cum Changing Room (1/F & 3/F), Accessible Lift, Tactile Guide Path, Visual Fire Alarm System, Braille Directory Map/Floor Plan


Opening Hours

7am to 11pm daily (except maintenance days)


Maintenance Day

9am to 3pm on the 2nd & 4th Monday of each month
(If a maintenance day falls on a public holiday, it will be rescheduled to the next working day.)
