The Sun, Our Living Star
"The Sun, Our Living Star" introduces our nearest star and our planet's powerhouse, the source of the energy that drives our winds, our weather and all life. Discover the secrets of our star in this show and experience never-before-seen images of the Sun's violent surface in immersive fulldome format.

Europe to the Stars
"Europe to the Stars" takes the viewer on an epic journey behind the scenes at the most productive ground-based observatory in the world, revealing the science, the history, the technology and the people.

Information for advance booking by school:

  • Applications will be accepted from 1 May – 15 June 2018 on a first come, first served basis.
  • The completed application form should be faxed to 2367-8320 on or before the closing date of application. Application by phone is not accepted.
  • Successful applicants will receive a confirmation letter by fax. School groups should arrive at the Space Museum 15 minutes before the commencement of the show and the person-in-charge should present the confirmation letter to our staff for checking.   
  • Only primary schools, secondary schools, special schools, post-secondary institutions, universities are eligible for application. (except private schools offering educational courses such as tutorial, commercial, language and computer courses)
  • Each school should submit one form and select a maximum of 2 sessions. 
  • Each school can apply for a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 135 places for each session.
  • Each application form is to be completed by one school only.

Go Stargazing with the Curators
The curators of the Hong Kong Space Museum will introduce stargazing knowledge and techniques with the use of the digital planetarium projection system in the Space Theatre to simulate the night sky. Telescopes will be placed at the rooftop of the Museum for stargazing. We will also make a paper moon model together.

Behind-the-scene Tour of Space Theatre
Do you want to know how a Sky Show is produced? What is the secret of the OMNIMAX and the Digital Planetarium Projection System? The curators will take you to tour around the main production facilities of the museum, including the Space Theatre, the computer and audio control rooms and the OMNIMAX Projector room, where you can have a better understanding of the production of various shows.
