To cultivate the interest in astronomy and space science among the youth generation in Hong Kong as well as enhance their understanding about the development and achievements of space technology in China, Leisure and Cultural Services Department and the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce have organised the "Young Astronaut Training Camp" since 2009 to select thirty local secondary school students every year to undergo astronaut training programme in Beijing and Jiuquan. The training camp is organised by the Hong Kong Space Museum and in association with the Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Centre.

To learn more about the programme, please enjoy the Programme jointly presented by LCSD and RTHK, Young Astronaut. The programme will be broadcast every Saturday night at 8:30 pm for 3 consecutive weeks starting from 25/11/2023 on RTHK TV31.
