Partial Solar Eclipse
A partial solar eclipse, with maximum magnitude lies between 0.02 and 0.03, will happen in Hong Kong on 20 April 2023. The Space Museum will set up solar observation tools at the Outpost, Salisbury Garden, Tsim Sha Tsui as well as distribute solar viewers from 12 noon to 1:30 pm. Public can use the equipment to observe the Sun safely and watch live stream of the partial solar eclipse in Hong Kong or other locations.
Starry Wonderland
The Space Museum will transform into a "Starry Wonderland" and you can enjoy activities at various locations inside the museum. You may stargaze with astronomical telescopes at the Rooftop, or know more about the constellations and the Solar System planets by joining game booths and workshops in the Lecture Hall and Lobby. Both adults and kids will have a fruitful and enjoyable evening at the museum.
