Genesis and Spirit – Enchanting Shandong ‧ An Exhibition on the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Shandong

Shandong is one of the cradles of Chinese civilisation. With a history that dates back to antiquity and a rich and solid cultural base, the region has nurtured in time a wealth of intangible cultural heritage (ICH). This exhibition in Hong Kong will showcase 37 representative ICH items from Shandong using text panels, photographs, video screenings and traditional handicraft exhibits in tandem with on-site demonstrations and performances by ICH bearers, and thematic talks. Visitors will be able to view in proximity various kinds of folk handicrafts, narrative singings and traditional performing arts of Shandong. While enjoying the unique charm of the Qilu Culture, they can also appreciate traditional Chinese culture in depth.

Thematic Talks
