Opening Ceremony of the Jin Yong Gallery

The grand opening of the Jin Yong Gallery was held on 28 February 2017. The ceremony was officiated by Mr CY Leung, GBM, GBS, JP, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR and Mrs Regina Leung Tong Ching-yee, wife of the Chief Executive; Mr Andrew Cha, Dr Ng Wai-cheong, Mrs Edna Ng Cha, family members of Dr Louis Cha; Professor David McMullen, Dr Cha's doctorial advisor; Mr Lau Kong-wah, JP, Secretary for Home Affairs; Mr Stanley Wong Yuen-fai, SBS, JP, Chairman of Museum Advisory Committee; Ms Michelle Li Mei-sheung, Director of Leisure and Cultural Services; and Ms Fione Lo Sau-lai, Museum Director of Hong Kong Heritage Museum, in company with the two well-known artists, Ms Liza Wang and Mr Adam Cheng.

Mr Chau Hing-wah (Curator, Intangible Cultural Heritage) visits Tai Po Wun Yiu Kiln Site and Fan Sin Temple with docents to study Hong Kong's historical buildings and archaeological sites. On the opening day, guests and participants enjoyed various education programmes, which provided a comprehensive view of Monet's life and his works of art.
