School Culture Day Scheme

The purpose of the programme is to encourage schools to arrange students to visit various cultural venues under the management of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, and to participate in various tailor-made cultural activities under a purposed-designed environment. It is hoped that these activities can broaden the exposure of the students and complement their life and learning with culture.

In the "Conservation D.I.Y." activities, the students will understand the role of museum conservation in preserving cultural heritage and how the knowledge of history, science and art will be applied in the conservation work. Through a short lecture, demonstrations, and a conservation workshop, the participants will not only advance their knowledge in conservation requirements and skills, but also have the opportunity to experience the challenge and enjoyment of conservation work.
