|Hardworking Circuit #1.0 - The necessary uselessness (In Cantonese)|| |
Artist Wong Chun-hoi and you will work together to create the core part of an art installation ‘Hardworking Circuit #1.0', during which you will enjoy a moment of wonderful surprise on the delay in electric power after our laboring process.
‘Hardworking Circuit #1.0' is a site specific art installation, which is built with bulk amount of relay to visualise the flow of electricity like domino effect. Participants will be invited to co-create a long electricity circuit in the public area of the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre. When one is triggering and switching on the installation, a flow of relay process will kick start and you will witness an art experience with the use of electricity and different electricity parts.
Wong Chun-hoi graduated from the School of Creative Media in City University of Hong Kong, he is also an undergraduate of Critical Intermedia Laboratory. His works mainly involve sound and electronics. He participated in many exhibitions and performances in Hong Kong, the mainland and Taiwan. In 2018, he won the Gold Award of ‘Media Art Category' in The 23rd ifva Awards. Apart from creation, he provides technical support to artists. He is currently working as an artistic engineer in ‘Floating Projects'.
