The Art Promotion Office is going to launch a three-year exhibition series "#ArtTravellers" to explore the prime significance of travel through a series of art displays. The exhibitions will invite a number of local artists to look into the culture of modern travel among Hong Kong people and discover its possibility and variety, offering the audience an alternative perspective on the inattentive culture and anecdotes that we have often missed in the journey.
Featuring with a couple of young female artists, Eastman Cheng and Ivy Ma, "#ArtTravellers Exhibition Series I : Decoding Exotic Lands" will be kicked off in February and on display for half year. It will particularly look into the exotic signs connecting with the different experience and impressions of travel of the artists. These signs talk about relaxation and humor, solemnity and contemplation, as well as harmony and conflict. It hopes to take the audience to a different journey inspired by the artists.
