"Beyond
Boundaries"
is
a
series
of
cross
disciplinary
explorations,
consisting
of
three
exhibitions: "City
Re-stitched",
"Village
Rethink"
and
"Spatial
Wear-iable".
We
have
invited
cross-over
and
collaborations
of
movie,
countryside
and
fashion
to
discover
and
venture
into
the
unknown
and
possibilities.
We
believe
everything
is
closely
connected
and
interdependent.
The
sector
has
always
been
an
indefinite
boundary.
Jun
—
Aug:
"City
Re-stitched"
was
a
spatial
cinematic
experiment.
As
a
collaboration
beyond
boundaries,
architects
Alison
Chan,
Serena
Tse
and
Chris
Tsui
played
with
the
viewing
experience
of
movies.
They
discovered
the
relationship
between
architecture
and
film
with
the
element
of
time
in
the
physical
space.
Frames
in
Hong
Kong,
the
creative
process
included
reconstruction
of
architectural
elements
found
in
film
and
the
fragments
of
cityscape.
The
scenes
of
the
cityscape
in
movies
are
valuable
documentation
of
the
city.

Participating
artists
of
"Village
Rethink"
Brian
Kam,
Bong
Yeung
and
Humphrey
Wong
thought
outside
of
the
box,
and
encouraged
rethinking
and
dialogues
on
the
topic
of
juxtaposition
of
urban
development
and
countryside
conservation
through
diversified
social
experiment.
They
hoped
to
lead
a
breakthrough
by
creating
various
possibilities
of
ideal
village.
Dec
—
Feb:
"Spatial
Wear-iable"
is
an
exploration
tribute
to
architecture
and
fashion.
Architects
Fei
Mui,
Aron
Tsang
and
Wesley
Ho
exchanged
the
materials
with
the
fashion
designers
to
experiment
with
the
limits
and
potentials
of
typical
materials,
and
subverted
the
stereotype
in
materiality
by
creating
new
combination
of
materials.
They
hope
to
bring
an
alternative
interpretation
of
materiality
to
audience.
