Oi! has been a longstanding patron of the arts, nurturing the relationship between arts and the people. Through engaging the public with cultural activities, it wishes to inspire all to live a life filled with imagination. Before applying architectural wisdom from the past to build a comfortable and safe place, one must first understand public's interpretation of it. Thus, "A Chapter of Ease" invites Architects Kevin Siu, Bob Pang and Shuyan Chan to use their talents in spatial design, to create a room for public exploration on the elements that gives a sense of ease, and build an archive for the findings.
The project embarks the discussion in seven chapters including Gastronomy, Sociometry, Environmentology, Aesthetics, Linguistics, Psychology and Philosophy, it is also accompanied by a series of activities that encourages audience from all backgrounds to take part and contribute.
