Due to overwhelming response, there will be a very limited number of tickets (including tickets of box seats with restricted view) available at URBTIX (website and mobile ticketing app only) under a real-name ticketing system and on a first come, first served basis from 10 am on the recital day (6 November).  Maximum 2 tickets per transaction.

To purchase tickets, ticket-holder’s English full name, identical to the name on the valid photo ID, is required. The English full name will be printed on the ticket and cannot be changed.  Ticket-holders are advised to arrive at the venue at least 90 minutes before the commencement of the recital for identity verification. 

The performance will run for about 1 hour and 30 minutes including a 15-minute intermission.

Audience is strongly advised to arrive punctually.  Latecomers will only be admitted during the intermission or at a suitable break.

The programme does not represent the views of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

The presenter reserves the right to change the programme.

Ticket bookings only accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, American Express or UnionPay (mobile payment by virtual cards through Apple Pay or Google Pay is not applicable).  Maximum 2 tickets per transaction.   A credit card/debit card purchase limit is set for this event.  When the aggregated number of tickets purchased by the same credit card reaches 2 tickets in any transaction, no more purchase can be made by the same credit card/debit card.  The service charge for each ticket is HK$9, which is non-refundable. 

The English full name of each ticket-holder will be printed on the ticket.  Each name must match that on his/her valid photo ID*.  The names of the ticket-holders cannot be changed upon confirmation.

Wheelchair seat tickets are designated for persons who depend on wheelchairs for mobility and their accompanying minders.  Wheelchair seat ticket-holders must provide their proof of mobility difficulties^# to venue staff during admission. The minder must enter the venue at the same time to prove its accompanying status.  If a non-wheelchair user or any person accompanying any non-wheelchair user holds a wheelchair seat ticket or minder ticket for admission, the venue staff has the right to refuse admission without a refund.

Real-name Admission Arrangements

To ensure all audience members can be admitted smoothly before the recital, all ticket-holders must bring along their true copy of valid photo ID*.  They are advised to arrive at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall at least 90 minutes before the commencement time of the recital (i.e. 6:30pm) for identity verification.

Venue staff will check the name on the ticket against that on the true copy of valid photo ID* and if the appearance of the ticket-holder matches the photo on the ID.  A designated wristband of identification will be provided to ticket-holders who have successfully verified their identity.  These ticket-holders can be admitted to the recital by presenting the wristband and the ticket.  Audience members are required to present the wristband and the ticket for verification for returning to the recital after intermission.  The venue staff reserve the right to check the true copy of valid photo ID* if required.  In case of dispute during admission, the venue staff reserve the right to deny entry without a refund.

* Valid photo IDs only include: HKID cards and travel documents (such as passports) with a photo, and the English full name must be identical to that printed on the ticket.  Ticket-holders between ages of 6 and 11 (inclusive), whose HKID cards have no photos, can use either their travel documents (with a photo and a matching English full name) or their student handbook or student ID card (with photo) as their valid photo ID for verification purposes.

BALLOT & REAL-NAME TICKETING SYSTEM

All registered persons will enter the ballot automatically.  Successful applicants can purchase their tickets at URBTIX (website only) via designated links.  Each person can purchase a maximum of two tickets.  Half-price tickets are available for senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities and the minder, full-time students and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients (limited tickets for full-time students and CSSA recipients available on a first come, first served basis).  The English full name of each ticket-holder will be printed on the ticket.  Ticket-holders must present their valid photo ID for verification upon admission.  All tickets are non-transferrable.  Amendment of ticket-holder name is NOT allowed upon confirmation.

Online Registration for Ticket Ballot

Online registration for the ticket ballot will be available at URBTIX (website and mobile ticketing app only) from 10 am on 25 September (Monday) to 8pm on 27 September (Wednesday).

This online ticket registration for “Duo Recital by Yo-Yo Ma (Cello) & Kathryn Stott (Piano)” (henceforth “Recital”) is the sole public channel for ticket purchase.  Registration for ticket ballot can only be done online.  All registrations made during the registration period have an equal chance of being selected from the random ballot.  There is no need to rush to register.  Each person will be eligible to register for just one ballot, and the system will only process the latest registered record if there is any duplication; all previous records will be voided.  The successful applicant will automatically become the main ticket-holder, whose English full name will be printed on the first ticket and cannot be changed.

Information required for online registration for ticket ballot:

• the English full name of the registrant [Successful applicant will automatically become the main ticket-holder when he/she purchases ticket(s)], which should be identical to the name on the valid photo ID*;
• the first 6 and last 4 digits of the credit card used for purchase (When the application is successful, the transaction must be completed with this credit card, so please be aware of the expiry date); and
• the email address and mobile number of the applicant, which will be used for verification of registration and notification of successful application.  (Please check your spam folder if you did not receive the verification email.)

All successful applicants will receive a confirmation email with a “registration reference number”.  This registration reference number will be used for the future announcement of the ballot result.  Please check your spam folder if you did not receive the confirmation email.

Announcement of Ballot Result

From 10am on 3 October (Tuesday) onwards, successful registrants can enter their “registration reference number” on the designated URBTIX webpage to check if their application is successful.

Each successful applicant will receive a confirmation email, which contains a designated link for ticket purchase and the related terms and conditions, on 3 October (Tuesday).  The period of ticket purchase for the successful applicants is from 10 am on 5 October (Thursday) to 6pm on 6 October (Friday).

Ticket Purchase Period for Successful Applicants

With the link provided in the email, successful applicants must purchase tickets by logging on to URBTIX’s “Recital” webpage, from 10 am on 5 October (Thursday) to 6pm on 6 October (Friday).  Those who fail to purchase tickets within the stipulated period will be regarded as having forfeited their right of ticket purchase without further notice.

The link for ticket purchase in the confirmation email is unique and contains the personal information of the successful applicant.  Each link can only be used for completing one transaction.  Do not forward to other people.  Leisure and Cultural Service Department (LCSD) and URBTIX are not liable for any loss or damage due to failure to purchase tickets during the stipulated period caused by such forwards or other inappropriate actions.

Successful applicants must use the registered credit card to complete the transaction.  Each person can purchase a maximum of two tickets.  The applicant will automatically become the main ticket-holder when he/she purchases ticket(s), whose English full name will be printed on the ticket and cannot be changed.  If the successful applicant wants to purchase more than one ticket, the English full name of the fellow concert-goer must be provided at the time of purchase.  The name must match that on his/her valid photo ID* and will be printed on the ticket.

Wheelchair seat tickets are designated for persons who depend on wheelchairs for mobility and their accompanying minders.  Wheelchair seat ticket-holders must provide their proof of mobility difficulties^# to venue staff during admission. 2. 6. Those needing to update their registered information may do so by re-registering online during the registration period (i.e. from 10am on 25 September (Monday) to 8pm on 27 September (Wednesday)).  The ticket ballot will proceed using the latest information provided by the applicant, and all previous registration records will be voided.
7. No information changes will be allowed after the online registration period (i.e. after 8pm on 27 September (Wednesday)).  This includes but not limited to the names to be printed on the ticket and the credit card for ticket purchase.

Notes on Successful Ballot & Real-Name Ticket Purchases

1. Definition of successful applicants: Every successful registrant (based on the latest information provided by the same applicant) will have an equal chance of being selected from the random ballot. The result of the ballot will be announced on the “What’s New” page of URBTIX website (urbtix.hk/latest-news) at 10am on 3 October (Tuesday).
2. Successful registrants can enter their “registration reference number” on the website to check if their application is successful.  Each successful applicant will also receive a confirmation email, which contains a designated link for ticket purchase and the related terms and conditions.  
3. With the link provided in the email, successful applicants must purchase tickets by logging on to URBTIX’s “Recital” webpage within the stipulated period [i.e. from 10 am on 5 October (Thusday) to 6pm on 6 October (Friday)].  Those who fail to purchase tickets within the stipulated period will be regarded as having forfeited their right of ticket purchase without further notice. 
4. Successful applicants must complete the transaction within the time limit (15 minutes) using their registered credit card.  Each person can purchase a maximum of two tickets.
5. If the successful applicant wants to purchase more than one ticket, the English full name of the fellow ticket-holder must be provided at the time of purchase.  The name must match that on his/her photo ID and will be printed on the ticket.
6. Besides paying the ticket prices, successful applicants have to pay a service charge of HK$9 for each ticket purchased.  All service charges are non-refundable.

In case of lost tickets, a customer should report to the police and contact URBTIX’s ticketing enquiries and customer services hotline at least 3 working days before the performance date.  URBTIX shall issue a “Non-delivery / Report Lost of Ticket” letter with the customer’s name, identity document number and police lost report reference number to the customer.  The customer is required to bring along the said letter for admission to the performance, whereas the admission of which is subject to the absolute discretion of the venue staff.

Notes on Public Purchase under Real-Name Ticketing System

1. All unpurchased tickets will be available for public purchase on the URBTIX website or via the mobile ticketing app under a real-name ticketing system and on a first come, first served basis from 18 October (Wednesday) onwards. 
2. Maximum of two tickets per transaction.  The English full names of all the ticket-holders must be provided at the time of purchase.  Each name must match that on his/her valid photo ID and will be printed on the ticket.
3. Ticket buyers must check that the names on the tickets are correct before making payments.  If the venue staff find that the name on the ticket is incorrect, they reserve the right to deny entry of the ticket-holder, and there will be no refund for the ticket prices and related service charges.

All ticket-holders are requested to present their true copy of valid photo ID for identity check during admission.  Valid photo IDs only include: HKID cards and travel documents (such as passports) with a photo, and the English full name must be identical to that printed on the ticket.  Any ticket-holders who fail to present a true copy of valid photo ID with a matching name printed on the ticket or the appearance of the ticket-holder is not matched with the photo on the photo ID will not be admitted without a refund.
3. Ticket-holders between ages of 6 and 11 (inclusive), whose HKID cards have no photos, can use either their travel documents (with a photo and a matching English full name) or their student handbook or student ID card (with photo) as their valid photo ID for verification purposes.
4. Wheelchair seat ticket-holders must provide proof of mobility difficulties for verification.  Proof of mobility difficulties includes only a "Registration Card for People with Disabilities" (Physical Disability) or other valid medical documentary proof showing physical disability or mobility difficulties.  The minder must enter the venue at the same time to prove its accompanying status.
5. No refund will be offered to the ticket-holder who cannot admit due to the failure of the provision of identification.
6. A designated wristband of identification will be provided to ticket-holders who have successfully verified their identity.  These ticket-holders can be admitted to the recital by presenting the wristband and the ticket.

General Terms & Conditions

1. The presenter Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) has authorised URBTIX to organise the ticket ballot.
2. All registrants of the ballot and ticket-holders must read, understand and agree to the balloting registration procedure, the ticket purchase arrangement and the admission requirements.
3. Registrants must check and ensure that the submitted information is correct. If there is any incorrect or false information, the LCSD and UBRTIX may abolish their right to the ticket ballot.
4. The English full names of the persons used during registration and ticket purchase will be printed on the ticket.  Once printed, the names cannot be changed.  The main ticket-holder is responsible for checking the names on the tickets during registration and ticket purchase.  Ticket-holders must present their valid photo ID for verification upon admission.  Any ticket-holder who fails to present his/her valid photo ID matching the name printed on the ticket and the appearance of the ticket-holder will be denied entry without a refund. The LCSD and its Partner (including but not limited to URBTIX and venue management) shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by the ticket-holder.
5. 8. This ticket ballot and real-name ticketing arrangement is legally binding. Should LCSD and its Partner (including but not limited to URBTIX and venue management) observe or suspect any illegal behaviour (including but not limited to appropriation of another person’s identity or presentation of forged identity documents), the presenter will void the person’s right of ticket ballot, ticket purchase and concert admission, and reserves the right to take legal action as appropriate. No refunds will be made either to the tickets or to the service charge.
9. When the ticket registration period ends (i.e. after 8pm on 27 September (Wednesday)), no registration information can be changed, including the names of the ticket-holders printed on the tickets and the credit card used for purchase.
10. All links in the emails are unique and contain the personal information of the successful applicants.  Each link can only be used for completing one transaction.  Do not forward to other people.  LCSD and URBTIX are not liable for any loss or damage due to failure to purchase tickets during the stipulated period caused by such forwards or other inappropriate actions.
11. LCSD and URBTIX will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by failure to register during the stipulated period, incorrect information or any errors caused by computers or transmission of information.
12. All sold tickets are non-transferable.  Amendment of ticket-holder name is not allowed upon confirmation.  Successful applicants shall pay the ticket price and a service charge of HK$9 for each ticket when purchase.  The service charge is imposed by URBTIX and is non-refundable.
13. LCSD reserves the right to change the programmes or artists without notice or refund.
14. The LCSD reserves all rights of final arbitration in case of any dispute.
