【Programme Cancellation and Ticket Refund Arrangement】

Due to programme adjustments, “‘Cheers!’ Series: YOAH by Cirquework” (including stage performances, workshops and backstage tour) scheduled for 21 – 25 January 2026 (Wednesday – Sunday) at the Auditorium and Dance Studio of Tuen Mun Town Hall have been cancelled.  The arrangement of ticket refund for the programme is as follows:

For payment made by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay, Alipay, WeChat Pay or mobile payment through electronic wallet where applicable:

Refund shall automatically be handled by Maoyan through the same method previously used to purchase the ticket according to the latest record of URBTIX in around 60-80 days.

For payment made by Cash (HK currency only), Octopus or FPS:

Please apply your refund with original ticket intact(s) (with stub) at the URBTIX Maoyan Customer Service Centre during office hours from 15 January 2026 (Thursday) to 16 March 2026 (Monday).  Upon the receipt of returned tickets, refund will be deposited to the designated bank account provided by the ticket holders via FPS or bank transfer.

YOAH, the latest groundbreaking work from contemporary Japanese circus company, makes its highly anticipated Hong Kong debut! This breathtaking performance takes audiences on a captivating journey that redefines the imagination of circus!

The story themed around ‘The Moon at Dawn (Hope)’. It was about a fantasy story of a girl lost in the underworld where she meets four sinister wizards in mysterious black garbs, who conjure magic with their diabolos, but the girl did not lose hope with the moon's guidance to find the path home.  

In this story full of fantasy and adventure, courage and faith help the girl overcome darkness and find her way home. The moon's guidance symbolises hope, rekindling light in every heart amidst despair.

 Best for ages 6 and above.

 The running time of each performance is approximately 1 hour without intermission.

 No dialogue

Members of the audience are strongly advised to arrive punctually. Latecomers and those who leave their seats during the performance will only be admitted and allowed to return to their seats respectively at a suitable break. The presenter reserves the right to refuse admission of latecomers, or determine the time and manner of admission of latecomers.

Performers have been professionally trained.  Audience is advised not to imitate their acts.

The programme contains high‑frequency sounds, strobe lighting and darkened effect.

The presenter reserves the right to change the programme and substitute artists without prior notice.

The programme does not represent the views of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

Cirquework (Japan)

Cirquework is a contemporary Japanese circus creation company created by a group of young circus artists active in Japan and abroad. By combining acrobatics, dance, music, lighting and visual effects, Cirquework pursues a unique form of entertainment that is full of originality and innovation. Since its establishment in 2021, the company has been performing YOAH at festivals and theaters around the world, including Adelaide Fringe, Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Théâtre du Léman. The group consists of awards including Best of Circus at Adelaide Fringe Weekly Award Winners 2024 & 2025 as well as Outstanding Female Performer Winner at Asian Art Awards of Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2024.

Diabolo Workshop 1: Children Class

Led by professional members of Cirquework, it will help children to develop an interest in diabolo, starting with the most fundamental basics.  Under guided practice, participants will quickly experience the magic of controlling the spinning spool with their own hands.

Half-price tickets available for senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities and the minder, full-time students and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients.  Tickets for CSSA recipients are available on a first come, first served basis.  Discount for full-time students is also applicable for children aged 6 and under.  Concessionary ticket holders must produce evidence of their identity or age upon admission.

For each purchase of standard tickets for different stage programmes in the ‘Cheers!’ Series, the following concession applies: 10% off for any 2 different programmes; 15 % off for any 3 different programmes; 20% off for 4 or more different programmes.

• 'Cheers!' Series Group Booking Discount

For each purchase of standard tickets for stage programme(s) in the ‘Cheers!’ Series, the following concession applies: 10% off for 4-9 standard tickets; 15% off for 10-19 standard tickets; 20% off for 20 or more standard tickets. 

• 'Cheers!' Series Family Package Discount

20% off on standard tickets for each purchase of 2 standard tickets and 1 student concessionary ticket of the same stage performance.

Special Notes

• Patrons can enjoy only one of the above discount offers.  Please inform the box office staff at the time of purchase.

• For each concessionary ticket for people with disabilities, the customer can purchase one ticket with the same concession for the minder.

• The price of each discount ticket will be rounded up to the nearest dollar.

• One ticket is required for each person regardless of age.
