Gala programmes are exceptional with huge audience appeal because they not only offer insights into the dancing panaches and charisma of the top stars in the ballet world today, but also showcase representative excerpts from the ballet repertoires.

Whether narrative or descriptive, mixed bills demonstrate the high-calibre virtuosity and gripping performances that would entrance the audience into the wonderful world of ballet.

In this edition of lectures, more than 30 excerpts of various productions in ballet history and widely acclaimed short pieces of the contemporary stage will be shared with the audience.

Margaret Lau

This lecture series is conducted by Margaret Lau, a seasoned dance critic and writer in Hong Kong on the subject of ballet. Her passion for ballet and her extensive experience and knowledge undoubtedly enhance audiences' understanding for appreciation of ballet performances.
