The Savage Five
Chang Cheh had his own way of launching new actors to stardom. After Ti Lung and John Chiang had found fame, Chang brought in new comers Chan Koon-tai and Wong Chung to produce the tailor-made film Four Riders(1972). It was then followed by The Savage Five which featured another new addition Danny Lee. In this testosterone-filled film, a group of bandits terrorise a remote village and its people until the five heroes come forward to rebel against the villains in a gruesome battle. Ti and Chiang continued to exude star quality and have commanding screen presence even amidst the ensemble cast.
