In this primal thriller, Kau Fu (Ng Chofan) escapes prison to get revenge and discovers that his wife Ah Kam (Hung Sin Nui) is now remarried to his enemy’s son Sing (Cheung Ying). However, the true villain of the film is Sing’s blind mother (Wong Manlei), who schemes to get Kau Fu captured but accidentally kills her son in the process. Sing’s mother may be blind, but Wong’s commanding performance as a clever, conniving woman (especially in her scenes opposite Hung) makes Sing’s mother an impressive silver screen villain.
