Booking of Rope Course, Sport Climbing Facilities, Archery Range and Gateball Courts in Tuen Mun Recreation and Sports Centre

 
This booking procedure is applicable to the facilities in Tuen Mun Recreation and Sports Centre, including golf driving range, practice green, sport climbing wall, rope course and archery range cum gateball court.
Methods of Booking
 
  Individual Booking
   
  Holders of Hong Kong Identity Card and LCSD Leisure Link patrons may book the facilities of Tuen Mun Recreation and Sports Centre within 30 days before the date of use by-
   
 
1. making booking at leisure venues or District Leisure Service Offices with Leisure Link Services;or
2. telephone (telephone nos.: 2927 8080);or
3. using Leisure Link Internet Booking Services (Website: http://leisurelink.lcsd.gov.hk); or
4. using any Leisure Link Self-service Kiosk
   
  Group Booking
   
  The facilities of Tuen Mun Recreation and Sports Centre are available for booking by eligible groups. The person-in-charge of the group please submit a completed application form to the Tuen Mun Recreation and Sports Centre in person, by mail or fax. Group applications are processed on a first-come-first-served basis and the facilities will be allocated according to the advance booking regulations.
 
Points to Note for Booking:
 
1. Facilities in Tuen Mun Recreation and Sports Centre will be closed on the issue of rainstorm red/ black warning or tropical cyclone signal No. 3, or due to inclement weather or any unforeseen circumstances, or at the discretion of the management when, in its opinion that the facilities are unsuitable for use from safety or operational point of view.
   
2. A standard application form (LCS 189) should be used for block booking. For booking of golf facilities, please also submit a completed Annex for Equipment
   
3. Apart from points 1 & 2 above, please refer to details of ¡§Guide to the Booking Procedure for Use of Fee Charging Recreation and Sports Facilities¡¨
 
Conditions of Use of Tuen Mun Recreation and Sports Centre
 
Golf Facilities
1. Overseas certificates should be verified by the relevant National Sports Associations (NSAs) in Hong Kong. Hirer/ Users must produce proof of relevant recognised qualification for verification by venue staff before use.
   
2. Children under the age of 5 are not allowed to enter the golf driving range/practice green unless approval is obtained from the venue management. Children between the age of 5 and 12 are not allowed to enter the golf driving range/practice green unless they are accompanied by an adult.
   
3. For the use of practice green, ALL the users must -
(a) possess a Practice Green User Card issued by LCSD; or
(b) be a member of the Hong Kong Professional Golfers' Association or equivalent; or
(c) have an Official handicap issued by the Hong Kong Golf Association or equivalent.
   
4. During group training, the instructor must be a member of the Hong Kong Professional Golfers' Association or equivalent. The ratio of instructor to trainees should not exceed 1:6 unless permission is obtained from the Department.
 
Sport Climbing Facilities
1. Overseas certificates should be verified by the relevant National Sports Associations (NSAs) in Hong Kong. Hirer/ Users must produce proof of relevant recognised qualification for verification by venue staff before use.
   
2. All users of the climbing wall must inspect their equipment and safety gear prior to use.
   
3. The hirer/users are advised to take every precaution to ensure safety and that all safety equipment and procedures comply with the standards of the NSA.
   
4. For individual use, only person holding a recognized and valid sport climbing training level 2 certificate or above issued by the NSAs, and accompanied by other person(s) who also hold recognized and valid sport climbing training level 2 certificate(s) or above may use the climbing wall.
   
5. For group use of the sport climbing wall, maximum of 20 users are allowed for the wall and not exceeding six users per lane. Besides, the presence of at least one user holding a valid coach/ instructor card and another user holding a sport climbing training level 2 certificate is required for the use of the facility.
   
6. Users are not allowed to change the route settings without prior permission from the management. Any change to the route setting must be carried out by qualified persons recommended/endorsed by NSAs. Any altered route settings must be reinstated to its original state within the booked session.
 
Rope Course
1. Overseas certificates should be verified by the relevant National Sports Associations (NSAs) in Hong Kong. Hirer/ Users must produce proof of relevant recognised qualification for verification by venue staff before use.
   
2. All users of the rope course must inspect their equipment and safety gear prior to use.
   
3. The hirer/users are advised to take every precaution to ensure safety and that all safety equipment and procedures comply with the standards of the NSA.
   
4. Hires should assure the presence of at least one instructor with relevant recognised qualification and one assistant instructor during the course of the activity. The ratio of instructor to trainees should not exceed 1:20 unless permission is obtained from the Department.
 
Archery range
1. Overseas certificates should be verified by the relevant National Sports Associations (NSAs) in Hong Kong. Hirer/ Users must produce proof of relevant recognised qualification for verification by venue staff before use.
   
2. All users of the rope course must inspect their equipment and safety gear prior to use.
