Mong Kok Stadium, formerly known as the Army Sports Ground, was taken over by the former Urban Council for management in 1961. It is now under the management of Leisure and Cultural Services Department and is the major venue used by the Hong Kong Football Association for First Division League football matches, Cup competitions, International football matches such as Asian Football Confederation Cup and training session for Hong Kong Football Representative Teams.

Mong Kok Stadium was re-opened on 16 October 2011 after 24 months of improvements works.
