Objectives of the Cheering Campaign

Following the success of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay in Hong Kong, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) had launched the Cheering Campaign (the Campaign) in support of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games (the Games). The Campaign aimed at encouraging active community participation to create an enthusiastic and festive atmosphere for the Games.

How to "cheer"

"Go! Go! China! Go! Go! Hong Kong!" was adopted as the slogan and the whole community was invited to join the Campaign. People can show their support for the Games and encouragement for the athletes by writing words of good wishes on the specially designed "Cheering Cards of the Olympic Games".
