The Leisure and Cultural Services Department today (January 21)
announced the opening hours of its recreation and sports facilities
during the Lunar New Year holidays.
All parks and playgrounds will remain open during the Lunar New Year
holiday period (January 26-28).
Sports centres, various fee-charging land-based facilities, swimming
pools and water sports centres will be closed during the Lunar New Year
holidays. Services at gazetted beaches will be suspended. Hong Kong
Stadium and all sports grounds will be closed unless advance bookings
have been made.
Holiday camps will be closed during the holidays and lodging will not be
provided on New Year Eve (January 25).
For public convenience, 28 sports centres, 14 turf pitches venues, 20
squash venues, 18 tennis venues, the bowling greens at Island East
Sports Centre and Tuen Mun Recreation and Sports Centre will be
re-opened earlier on the third day of the Lunar New Year (January 28).

Leisure Link booking offices will be closed during the holidays but for
those venues scheduled to be re-opened on the third day of the
Lunar New Year, service will be resumed. The Leisure Link internet
and telephone reservation services will operate as usual
throughout the Lunar New Year holidays.
Opening hours of recreation and sports venues during the
Lunar New Year holidays have been posted at all venues
