During IMD 2009, Hong Kong on 16–17 May, all museums of LCSD will offer free admission to the public (except for the film programmes at the Hong Kong Film Archive and special exhibitions at individual museums); admission is also free to the following local museums:

Museum of Ethnology; Tung Wah Museum; Po Leung Kuk Museum; University Museum and Art Gallery, University of Hong Kong; Stephen Hui Geological Museum, The University of Hong Kong; Art Museum, Institute of Chinese Studies, The Chinese University of Hong Kong; Dr and Mrs Hung Hin Shiu Museum of Chinese Medicine, Hong Kong Baptist University; Hong Kong Museum of Education, The Hong Kong Institute of Education; The Hong Kong Racing Museum; Hong Kong Correctional Services Museum; Lions Nature Education Centre, Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department; Tao Heung Museum of Food Culture and the Police Museum.

Also, the Hong Kong Maritime Museum will offer 10% discount on all standard admission tickets on 16 & 17 May.
