Discovery Tour at Tai Tam Bay
This journey starts off from Stanley Main Beach Water Sports Centre towards Cape D'Aquilar Marine Reserve where you can appreciate offshore the amazing coastal landforms as a result of the wave erosion over the years. It is also easy to find a natural coastline along the sandy beaches at To Tei Wan and the Ngan Hang Village. Soon enough, you will reach Tai Tam Harbour, the only naturally sheltered inter-tidal mudflats on Hong Kong Island.

The journey starts from the Tai Mei Tuk Water Sports Centre via Ma Shi Chau. Ma Shi Chau and the surrounding area is well-known for its great abundance of geological features and has been designated as a special area. The sedimentary rock of Ma Shi Chau is one of the oldest in Hong Kong and a rich diversity of fossils of marine life can be found there. Connecting Ma Shi Chau and Yim Tin Tsai is a narrow passage known as 'Tombolo' in geology, which makes going to Ma Shi Chau on foot possible. Also, you may go to Ma Shi Chau directly by canoeing.
