  • Nine participants in the Men's Team and three participants in the Women's Team to be shortlisted by speed for the Bun Scrambling Competition

Climbing
Carnival

  • Demonstration of bun tower climbing techniques and safety measures by the Hong Kong Mountaineering Union
  • Bun Tower Climbing Fun Day (for groups of masters, adults and youths)
  • Invitation Relay (5 persons per team)
    • Local tertiary institutions, government departments, and commercial and industrial organisations are invited to take part in the competition
    • Participating teams are required to receive training on bun tower climbing provided by the Hong Kong Mountaineering Union in the morning of 16 May
    • The team to finish in the shortest time will be the winner
  • Game stalls (featuring the themes of the Bun Festival and sports climbing)
  • Wishing Bun Tower
  • Bun Tower Colouring and Drawing Competitions
    • Apart from the colouring competition for kindergarten students, there is a drawing competition for primary school students organised for the first time this year. Winners’ work will be displayed in the carnival and subsequently in roving exhibitions held in various sports centres in the Islands District
  • Variety show

Bun Scrambling Competition cum Prize Presentation Ceremony

Competition Events
1. Individual Event

  • 12 finalists will take part in the Bun Scrambling Competition
  • The finalists who grab the largest numbers of buns with the highest scores within the specified time and area will be the winners

2. Invitation Relay (3 persons per team)

  • Neighbouring areas and community groups in Cheung Chau are invited to take part (8 teams in total)
  • To compete by grabbing the designated buns as fast as possible
    (Participants are required to receive training on bun tower climbing provided by the Hong Kong Mountaineering Union before the competition)

Performance programmes

  • Performance programmes to be staged before the Competition cum Prize Presentation Ceremony
