  • About 150 participants will receive training on bun tower climbing provided by the Hong Kong Mountaineering Union

  • Participants of the Invitation Relay will receive training on bun tower climbing provided by the Hong Kong Mountaineering Union

Selection of
finalists for
the Bun
Scrambling Competition

  • 12 finalists to be shortlisted by speed will take part in the Bun Scrambling Competition

Climbing
Carnival

  • Demonstration on the techniques of bun tower climbing and safety measures by the Hong Kong Mountaineering Union
  • Bun Climbing Fun Day (for groups of master, adult and youth)
  • Invitation Relay (five persons per team)
    • Local tertiary institutions and government departments will be invited to take part in the event (16 teams in total)
    • Participants are required to attend the training on bun tower climbing provided by the Hong Kong Mountaineering Union on 4 May
    • To determine the winning teams by speed
  • Game stalls (Bun Festival, climbing sports and promotion of the Olympic Spirit will be the theme)
  • Variety show

Bun Scrambling Competition cum Prize Presentation Ceremony

Competition Events
1. Individual Event

  • 12 finalists will take part in the Bun Scrambling Competition
  • Those who grab the largest number of buns with the highest scores within three minutes will be the winners

2. Invitation Relay (three persons per team)

  • The neighbouring areas and local organisations in Cheung Chau will be invited to take part in the event (eight teams in total)
  • To compete by grabbing the designated buns as fast as possible

    (Participants are required to attend the training on bun tower climbing provided by the Hong Kong Mountaineering Union)

Performance programmes

  • Performance programmes will be presented before the Competition cum Prize Presentation Ceremony
