Climbing Carnival
The Climbing Carnival will be staged at the soccer pitch of Pak Tai Temple Playground, Cheung Chau on 4 May. Activities such as game stalls (featuring the themes of Bun Festival, climbing sport and promotion of the Olympic Spirit), handicraft demonstrations, variety show and climbing demonstrations will be staged.
The Bun Tower Climbing Challenge will also be held to offer the public the fun of climbing bun towers. It is divided into groups of master, adult and youth. A new invitation relay will be staged for local tertiary institutions and government departments to participate. Details of the Climbing Challenge are as follows:

- On-the-spot enrolment
- Four sessions in total, each session of an hour. One winner will be selected for each session.
- The winners of each group will be the participants who reach the designated height of the bun tower with the shortest time
- Souvenirs will be given to all winners

- Participants are required to attend the training on bun tower climbing provided by the Hong Kong Mountaineering Union on 4 May

- Souvenirs will be given to the winner, the first and the second runners-up respectively
