Participants must follow the instructions of
the Organisers' staff and the judges in the course of training
and the Competition. The Organisers reserve the right to disqualify
the participants who fail to do so.

Dress Code
Participants must wear the following clothing and gear, otherwise
they may be disqualified:
- Loose and light clothing;

Sports shoes (bare-foot, leather shoes,
hiking shoes, spiked shoes and sandals are strictly prohibited);

The safety gear (harnesses, locks and
fall arresting devices), bags (for storage of buns grabbed
during the Competition) and the number bibs; and
- Tight leather gloves (optional).
- Reporting
-
Participants must report to the Organisers half an hour before the specified time of the Competition
for balloting of position. Participants who fail to report
on time will be regarded as waiving their right of participation and will be disqualified.

Participants must produce the original copy
of their identity documents (affixed with photo) when reporting
for verification by the Organisers' staff. If they fail
to produce their identity documents or their personal particulars
do not tally with those stated on the enrolment form, they
will be regarded as waiving their right of participation
and will not be allowed to take part in the Competition.
- Rules of the Competition
- Participants who fail to show up at the specified time of the Competition will be regarded as
waiving their right of participation.
- Participants are strictly forbidden to carry any hard objects or any objects that can be used as
offensive weapons in the Competition.
- Participants are not allowed to carry any electronic equipment in the Competition.
- Participants must fasten the safety belts specified by the Organisers prior to the commencement of
the Competition.
- All safety gear must be inspected by the judges prior to the commencement of the Competition.
- The judges have the right to prohibit participants with inadequate safety gears from taking part in
the Competition.
- When getting ready to climb up the bun tower, participants must put their hands down with both feet
on the ground.
- Once the judge issues the "start" signal, participants can climb upwards.
- If any participant makes an early start before the judge issues the "start" signal, he/she will be
informed by the judge at the end of the Competition that he/she has been disqualified.
- Participants must climb up vertically and are strictly forbidden to climb sideways.
- Participants are strictly prohibited from climbing up with the aid of climbing ropes or fall
arresting devices.
- Participants are not allowed to climb up with the aid of others, by pulling other participants' clothing
or safety gear, or by stepping on any parts of other participants' bodies.
- Participants must return to the ground along the climbing ropes and are not allowed to unfasten
any safety gear in the course of climbing down.
- The judges have the right to stop the participants who fail to observe any of the rules above from
taking part in the Competition and cancel their scores.
- Participants must return to the ground and land with both feet within the specified time in order
to complete the Competition.
- Winning criteria:
- "Selection of Finalists for the Bun Scrambling" ¡V Speed Event (The first 12 participants who climb
up to the specified height of the bun tower and successfully hit the signal object will be selected to
enter the final competition.)
- "Bun Scrambling Competition" ¡V Score Event (The finalists who grab the largest numbers of buns
with the highest scores within the specified time and area will be the winners.)
- During the "Bun Scrambling Competition", the judge will give out the "one-minute-to-go" signal
one minute before the specified closing time. Participants must complete the Competition and return
to the ground before the specified closing time. Failure to do so will lead to disqualification.
- After the completion of Competition, participants are prohibited to take away buns either from the
bun tower or on the ground and they are not allowed to throw the buns to spectators. Otherwise, they
will be disqualified.
- The Organisers have the right to disqualify any participant who is found to have violated the rules of
the Competition or have misbehaved in any way that affects the Competition, or who has been in
a physical condition that is unsuitable for participation in the Competition.
- The Organisers reserve the right to amend the rules of the Competition if necessary. The
rules announced on the day of the Competition shall prevail.
- Adjudication and Appeal

The panel of judges of the Competition will
be composed of members of the Organisers and the Hong Kong
Mountaineering Union.
- No appeal will be allowed. The decision of the judges is
final.
- Arrangement for Inclement Weather

If tropical cyclone signal no. 3 or above
or BLACK rainstorm warning is still in force three hours
prior to the commencement of the Competition, all the events
on that day will be cancelled.

The Organisers reserve the right to decide
whether the events should continue in case of inclement
weather prior to and in the course of the events.
