In view of the AFCD's announcement of suspected H5 avian influenza case, the aviaries in Hong Kong Park, Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens and Kowloon Park under the management of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department have been temporarily closed starting from January 4, 2007 as a standard precautionary measure in accordance with the 3 km radius rule of the World Organisation for Animal Health's standard.
