Endangered. Listed under Appendix I of Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).

Behaviour Arboreal. Diurnal. Led by one to three adult males, they live in groups of about six to 20 individuals of different ages. Males have prominent mane.

Diet Fruit, leaves, flowers, insects, birds' eggs and small vertebrates.
