Arboreal. Diurnal. Agile and excellent at climbing and jumping. Their toes, with sharp claws, are well adapted for clinging to tree trunks. Females will construct nests with leaves and twigs high up in tree branches shortly before giving birth to avoid the ground predators. Two to four young are born at a litter. They are naked at birth and will become mature in 18 months. |
